  3. Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pot, pressing down to extract all liquid. Discard the solids. This step ensures a very smooth soup.
  4. Place the pot with the strained liquid over medium heat. Add rock sugar and salt. Stir continuously to prevent sticking, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
