- 400 ml (1.5 cups) Coconut Milk
- 100 ml (0.4 cup) Water
- 60 g (1/4 cup) Granulated Sugar
- 10 g (1 tablespoon) Agar-agar Powder
- A pinch of Salt
- 50 ml (0.2 cup) Evaporated Milk (optional)
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine water, agar-agar powder, and granulated sugar. Stir well until the agar-agar and sugar are dissolved.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes to ensure agar-agar is fully dissolved.
- Add coconut milk, salt, and evaporated milk (if using) to the saucepan. Stir well to combine. Do not boil the mixture after adding coconut milk.
- Remove from heat. Pour the mixture into a mold or individual serving bowls.
- Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.
- Once set, cut into desired shapes and serve chilled.
