Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 150g minced pork
- 10g dried shrimp, soaked and finely chopped
- 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 200ml warm water
Steps
- In a bowl, combine minced pork, chopped dried shrimp, 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, white pepper, cornstarch, and sugar. Mix well until combined.
- Spread the seasoned minced pork mixture evenly at the bottom of a heatproof shallow dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually whisk in the warm water, then strain the egg mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into the dish with the pork.
- Place the dish in a steamer. Steam over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg custard is just set but still wobbly in the center.
- Remove from steamer. Drizzle with remaining light soy sauce and sesame oil. Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
